Maker of Oreos, Ritz Crackers Shedding 1,000s of Chicago Jobs, Outsourcing to Mexico
But the announcement that Oreo cookies would now be made in Mexico prompted several activists to start separate boycotts of the cookie classic.

By January 1 of this year, the unions had filed a lawsuit against Mondelez due to the mass layoffs, citing discrimination and the voiding of a collective-bargaining agreement.

Despite the lawsuit, Mondelez is continuing with its layoff plans and warned 277 employees of their separation on January 20. This will only be the first round of up to 600 layoffs in Chicago.

5 things we wish everyone knew about the Panthers

Though most people may associate the Panthers with North Carolina because of the stadium’s location in Charlotte, owner Jerry Richardson made a point to make sure the team represented both N.C. and S.C. when he had the team logo designed. Hidden in the logo’s panther head is the shape of the two states’ merging borders. Richardson also had dirt brought to the stadium’s construction site from every county in both states! - See more at: http://www.gocarolinas.com/news/sports/5-things-we-wish-everyone-knew-about-panthers/nqCFb/#sthash.08hKx8WI.dpuf

Judy Morris Report: The US Economy - The Mother of All Hot Button 2016...

"Trump is winning because he's perceived by voters as sincere and Americans are so damn desperate and fed up with politics as usual that they will gamble on a man they want to trust and probably already do trust far more than the rest of the political heap.  The beauty of the whole Trump thing is that Trump is royally bitch slapping the establishment elites and that is definitely fun to watch.

To win, all Trump has to do is continue to do what he's doing and run a 100% economic campaign because that's all Americans really care about right now.  He needs to be addressing those issues that are harming the economy while offering solutions to big problems.  He needs to focus on restoring the battered US manufacturing industries and most importantly, he needs policies that will help everybody, especially businesses, the poor and the middle class.

Trump is a man who THINKS big so I consider him qualified to tackle big problems.  It's what he does. It's what American voters want him to do."

The Last 16 Times This Happened There Was A Recession...

China said yesterday that they were fine economically -- the last time they admitted they were not fine economically was 1976!

"Something has just happened that has signaled a recession every single time that it has occurred since World War I.  16 times since 1919 there have been at least 8 month-over-month declines in industrial production during the preceding 12 month period, and in each of those 16 instances the U.S. economy has plunged into recession.  Now that it has happened again, will the U.S. economy beat the odds and avoid a major economic downturn?  I certainly wouldn’t count on it.  As I have written about repeatedly, there are a whole host of other numbers that are screaming that a new recession is here, and global financial markets are crumbling.  It would take a miracle of epic proportions to pull us out of this tailspin, and yet there are many people out there that are absolutely convinced that it will happen."

USS Harry Truman #USNavy

This photo was placed on the Facebook page of the USS Harry Truman overnight --- below is my message to the Facebook manager Lisa Andrews III Good morning -- my question to you this morning is why the need to post a photo of a muslim in prayer? I have searched and didn't see a photo taken of other religions having prayer. I feel the post is inappropriate but that SOMEONE was trying to make a point or take a stance without really "saying" anything. Maybe if it was an album about the religious opportunities aboard the ship -- it would not stand out as trying to voice an opinion. It is also worthy to note that clearly anyone who posts a comment that is not in favor of the photo - the comment is deleted. Someone has an agenda aboard the USS Truman that has nothing to do with protecting our Nation. I enjoy following the Truman on Facebook and hope to continue to do so as I support our Troops. But this is unacceptable on the part of being member of serving our Nation. Does this post have anything to do with the recent capture of the Sailors? In the end, this in my opinion is an inappropriate post. I hope you will reconsider and remove the photo.

Navy's fast sealift ships can't stand buffeting from high seas

The Military Sealift Command expeditionary fast-transport vessel USNS Spearhead, leaves Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story, Virginia Beach, Va., in December 2015 for a mission to Africa. The U.S. Navy is spending millions of dollars to repair the new ships, including the Spearhead, because their weak bows can't stand buffeting from high seas. The Financial Crisis Of 2016 Rolls On - China, Oil, Copper And Junk Bonds All Continue To Crash

I have been shouting from the rooftops for months that gas prices were going to fall and that folks would CHEER but in reality this is a BAD sign and means our economy along with that of the world is failing — I only know this from authors like this who speak the truth instead of sugar coating like our POTUS prefers — hold onto your bootstraps folks the ride is just getting bumping the big hills have yet to come!
“A little over a year ago, I wrote an article that explained that anyone that believed that low oil prices were good for the economy was “crazy“. At the time, many people really didn’t understand what I was trying to communicate, but now it is becoming exceedingly clear. On Monday, one veteran oil and gas analyst told CNBC that “half of U.S. shale oil producers could go bankrupt” over the next couple of years…
Half of U.S. shale oil producers could go bankrupt before the crude market reaches equilibrium, Fadel Gheit, said Monday.
The senior oil and gas analyst at Oppenheimer & Co. said the “new normal oil price” could be 50 to 100 percent above current levels. He ultimately sees crude prices stabilizing near $60, but it could be more than two years before that happens.
By then it will be too late for many marginal U.S. drillers, who must drill into and break up shale rock to release oil and gas through a process called hydraulic fracturing. Fracking is significantly more expensive than extracting oil from conventional wells.
Since the last recession, the energy industry has been the number one producer of good paying jobs in this country.”
